Vintage and Classic Cars

Cars. What can be said about them, the ultimate development of the personal mode of transport for the family. Developed in the late 1800’s and manufactured by hundreds of small private firms ranging from the local enterprising Blacksmith to former Coach and Carriage building companies. Slowly larger concerns started to buy up the smaller businesses to create the names of Firms that we have now come to regard as producers of some of today’s Classic Cars.

It is hoped to have a wide collection of vehicles manufactured during 7 decades of the motor industry that saw the rise and decline of the truly British motor industry covering the period from the 1930’s – 1990’s with examples from the following manufacturers:

Morris
Austin
Vauxhall
Jaguar
Rover
Triumph
Riley
Singer
Reliant
Rolls Royce
Leyland
BMC
Humber
Ford
Lotus
Mercedes
BMW
Chevrolet
Dodge
Volkswagon
The Northampton Land Rover Club
Cambridge and District Car Club

And hopefully much more……
